MEI INTRODUCES A PERFECT FINISH CALENDER

With this new Calender system is possible to obtain a high speed ironing and finishing process used on labels and passed under rollersat high temperatures and pressures.
The basic principle of MEI calendaring is to expose the label to the combined effect of moisture,heat and pressure until it acquires a very smooth and light reflecting surface, getting a good lustre.
The calendar is an assembly of heavyrolls, alternatively of iron and special rubber surface, that are mounted in vertical frames, which can guarantee the temperature to bedistributed evenly allover and the roller won’t be distorted with high temperature.
In this way the label ribbons can obtain an excellentpress calendaring effect. The rolls are bearing one on the other, under a high pressure that is applied by hydraulic equipment.
The topand bottom rollers raising their temperature with electrical heating oil, the maximum temperature is 250 centigrade.
